Something to think about, inspire us, by John Donne, 1572-1631, written 1624.
"No man is an Island, entirely of itself; everyman is s a piece of the Continent, a part of the main; if a cloud be washed away by t6he sea, Europe is the less, as well if a promontory were, as well if a manor of they friends or thine own were; any man`s death diminishes me, because I am involved with Mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bells tolls; it tolls for thee, because " (An Recommendable Attitude, 400 years ago)

The Big Island. "Home of the Kilauea Volcano"
On October 24 2002, Monday, transported to the Big Island by the Aloha Airlines with heavy hearth, became used to the exciting and accommodating routine. Our Group leader, Randy assisted and put a little humor and a mild assertiveness in our actions. For better and easier following, two maps of the Island inserted in this Text. The upper one will show the interested entities visited at the big Island and the lower one depicts in very natural way the biggest of the Hawaiian Island. Arriving at Kona, Airport and on the way to our next Resort the Sheraton Keahou, visited the Kona Coffee Living History farm. The owners the heirs of along line and history made a very successful attempt to explain very specific and detailed then working s of their farm, still their lively hood. On
Aloha, Hawaii, Open your Arms!
Many years ago a promise made to show her, my mate if we make it to a particular time in our live, will full fill this commitment without reservation. It is not, that my time is running out or trying to get out of this, by no means, looking ahead and imagine all the possibility we will have an opportunity to visit and see, a remnant of the lost paradise. We started on October,21th`2002 early in the morning, interrupted the flight of 1863 miles in San Francisco, and added another 2394 miles to reach the shores of the Island Oahu, at Honolulu. Traditional welcomed and transported visa Bus to our first lodging, one of the highest and very impressive Structures on the Ocean Front with accommodating rooms and
USS Arizona Memorial, Pearl Harbor
Our arrival on the Island Oahu, Honolulu, newer part of the City of Honolulu is Waikiki the resident of our resort and the location of the Memorial one hour drive thru the City and the only Expressways we experienced .It was a nice day, like most; however a somber mood noticeable which increased as closer we got to the site. We observed a movie, which depict the original attack and the development of the Memorial. During the movie, I and many other People used a handkerchief. The actual Memorial erected on the top a sunken warship, The Arizona. One has to participate in Boat trip to get to the exact location, where she sunk during the attack; it was not a battle, but an act of infamous proportin in peacetime. It would be very difficult to mention and show everything there is, everything has meaning and is touching. A few personal impressions I must tell you. Leaning over the Railing, after all them years , 60 years ago.oil remnant bubbling to the top of the water around, and is said " This are the tears of our 1300 hundred marines given their lives for us. " Many of the Japanese visitors present and whispering to each other, what was it? My thoughts in total disarray, ashamed of my self, but conversed with some of them. Hiroshima rushed to my Brain, there never have, or will be an excuse or a reason for War. On the way, back to the Resort the drive thru and one stop at downtown Honolulu opened our minds and eyes to see the remnant of the former history of the Hawaii's People. A big portion of the older town does not look very preventative. Arriving at the right time for one the special Suppers served to enjoyment. The remaining of the evening, walking along the Ocean and thanking God to had an after thought and created

waiters, the Sheraton Waikiki Beach Resort. The actual Building and surroundings' are amazing to see, but believe, being there is a treat and should be one every ones wish list. The room Number. 3121assigned to us, only two rooms below the top, offered a most beautiful site along the shore and to the endless view of the Ocean. The first day, a day of exploration near the resort, organized not to miss the most delicious entries at the resort, took some advantage of the swimming pool and ventured at the edges of the Ocean, which turned out to be very rough at the bottom, which covered with volcanic debris. A day prior to relocating to another Island, our Group Leader informed, to gather next morning in front of the Resort to participate in the awaited trip to the Memorial of the Day of Infamy.

The Hawaiian Island, some time later. He knew then, there was something missing and we should be grateful for such a special present to his children. Some of you might laugh and shake their head about certain remarks of mine. Never was and will be afraid to say what I mean, and mean what I say, that in a big part helped me to overcome many different situation, plus we live in a land were speech is not a privilege only, but also guaranteed by our Constitution.

Maui, The Valley& Flower Island.
Days seven & eight October 27&28, 2002.
After our last Breakfast at Kai`s, Aloha Airline flew us to Honolulu and switched to another Aloha flight which brought us to Maui, as is said, one of the most romantic and beautiful Island of Hawaii. Rather to continue direct to our final destination, we visited Iao Valley presenting the entire flora present in Hawaii. A very happy sight to see and easy to remember. Close to our designated Resort, The Sheraton Maui we spent quit some time in the Village Lahaina eating our Lunch there and finally arrived, where the Nightly Entertainment, beach Music, torch lighting ceremony and cliff diving, at our designated Resort.. Cliff diver dives off Lack rock. Tired we went to our rooms and it did not take very long to
found refuge in Amours arms. In the morning, a Friday, breakfast served at the Kekaa Terrace, after which toured to Haleakala National Park about 10,023 feet elevation. It was chilly, however warned before to have the right close available. At the return, the Buss driver dropped us off at the nearby village Lahaina, which also had a buss service from the Resort only 15 minutes far. To better visualize the content of this Section of our Vacation, I found it appropriate to support or clarify with the two Attachments as shown. The Farewell Dinner started at 6:30 PM with all the Trimmings you can think off, when it ended could be everyone's guess. Last but not least, the grounds of this Resort, was so accommodating with all kind combination , natural volcanic materials with modern stuff but unbelievable matching each other perfect, It is very hard to explain, the best way could be , to visit this place and be amazed.

The flight to San Francisco went smooth and arrived late in the afternoon, beginning to darkened .A much longer stretch of our flight to Chicago, nearly passed without notice, it just so happened we fell short of our start a sleep and never woke up until we reached O'Hara Airport in Chicago. It was dark when we arrived but soon daylight fond its way to welcome us. A little search postponed our return to our home awhile, could not find our Van right of way. It was midmorning when we reached our

Empty Nest, should be used to it now, thanked our Guiding Hand with all the conviction possible, and looked around if everything satisfactory.
