SISTERS ARE COMING. - 42 -
My sister is the youngest of my two sisters and the closest to me, there was in the past, many years ago when I still resided in Germany a closeness to descript today as an Tomboy, Naturally that came to a change when we matured some and changed our priorities. The first years of being on the North American Continent a regular Contact did not exist, masterminding my survival occupied most of my time. She, the same as me, very preoccupied with preparing and building or her future. At that, particular time studied on German Universities to be a Teacher and graduated later. The first time I remember the contact started
Sister in Law, Karin and Entourage, Waukesha, 1996.
Karin`s Entourage consisted of her husband Charley and her daughter Karoline, in the early twentieth. Their arrival turned out to be a little out of the usual, by not asking to met them at the O`Hara Airport in Chicago. They preferred to arrive in New York, visiting some relatives of Charley, and proceed by

To avoid redundancy and waste a lot of time, I ask you turn to Websites # 28 and 29 and read in very detailed pages, filled with beautiful images of the same places we planned to visit with my sister while we are here now. The Trip is not over yet and I will report all the interesting happenings like usual. The morning after we finished packing ,proceeded northward on Highway I 95 driving thru Georgia at Savanna, close to the Atlantic Ocean where we rested and admired the view of the majestic Ocean. Continued passing thru N.& S. Carolina more western of the Ocean and rested before we went into the homestretch. By that time, it darkened and we had some minor problems to locate the cousin of Gordian, which resided in Richmond NC. The darkness hindered us quit a bit, but eventual we found the right Place. They welcomed us and it did not take long to feel well in their company. The man of the house, Jim a former Officer of the U.S.A. Army met and married Gordian's cousins, and eventual moved to the present address in Richmond. Gordy's Plan to return to Waukesha involved flying from Richmond to Milwaukee; he was a former Luftwaffe man who still likes flying. While in with us in Waukesha, he rented one an afternoon a lightweight plane ands spent a few hours in the Air. He really enjoyed it. Leaving Richmond early the next morning, asked Jim and his wife to visit if they ever came close to our homestead in Waukesha, and they did some time later. Driving thru the beautiful mountains and view`s of Virginia, impressed us so much , that than an there we decided to return one day to this remnant of Paradise. By the time, we reached Chicago it started to darken, but Waukesha not far away. A few days later Gordian and my sister arrived from Richmond in the Milwaukee Airport. Shortly .after that we said "Auf Wiedersehen" at O`Hara Airport, felt a little bit sad; however more happy that vacation turned to be a success.
The first European to pass through the area was French missionaries and fur traders. In 1818, the French-Canadian explorer Solomon Juneau settled in the area, and in1846 and combined two other Townships named the place Milwaukee. The word "Milwaukee" comes from an Algonquian word "Millioke" which means Good, Beauti-ful, and pleasant land. In an other interpretation called also "Gathering Place at the Waters" For many gave the years, printed records gave the name as "Milwaukie". During the middle and late 19th Century, Wisconsin and the Milwaukee are became the final destination of many German immigrants fleeing the Revolution o 1848 in varies small German state and Austria. In Wisconsin, they found the inexpensive land and the freedoms they sought The German heritage and influence in the Milwaukee area is widespread. All this I did not completely knew when I arrived here Another Thanks to my Maker who guided me to settle here. Attached on the bottom of this Section an arrangement of Milwaukee oriented scenes on Pictures placed for you easier to imagine the real look of the City better that I ever can describe. developing again somewhere around 1972, inasmuch around that time many things starting to happen in good old Germany, in our still close Family. There was the Golden Anniversary of my Parents; my father was planning to come, and the most memorable happening at that time was the unexpected, most hurting demise of my Mother. Even I visited Germany twice, to investigate the possibilities to relocate back, which I dropped before I left. That was the last time I saw my mother, already in the Hospital from where she started her trip to her Father that diminished the pain a little. There is more documentation about this time on the Website pg # 24. Soon after, I
returned to our home at Clover-Knoll in Waukesha, WI where my sister informed us that her arrival is immanent, which we discussed while I resided recently in Germany. In late spring she and her husband Gordian arrived on O`Hara Airport in Chicago, where we welcomed them once before their biggest interest to exploit the wonderful beaches in Florida, Particular on the West Coast, St.Petersburg Beach and Treasure Island, which we patronized many times before. The Ebb-Tide Motel just across the Gulf of Mexico Beach has been our favorite spot, most every spring ,will be our first destination, starting with the planned itinerary of my sister. In previous Website Pages there are many Pictures of the Ebb-Tide Motel, you should remember if all participated in the Journey he focal point of ours was and always will be to frolic with the Dolphins and swim and play together. The ride to Florida went fine, like most of the time, only this time we had to entertain somewhat the visitors , keeping them from falling asleep and missing many beautiful sceneries along the way towards Florida. Along the way, we considered and patronized, more as usual accommodate to the visitors well being, in mostly very attractive Rest Areas. We arrived at our goal, and it took us not very long after, to join my sister, husband to the most beautiful, and peaceful Beach at the Gulf of Mexico. The Dolphins are mostly presents in the morning and not very often later in the afternoon as our visit took place. The continuation of my sisters vacation planned after a long week to leave the Gulf Area toward another big Attraction, I recommended to them many times before, not to leave the U.S.A without visiting and enjoying , Disney World in Orlando, only one hr drive from Treasure Island. Nice motel accommodations, close to the Disney Amusement Park were available and we booked for two days. Early next morning all of us readied themselves fast to get to gates early, to avoid pushing, chaffing.
Air to Chicago where they explored the niceties of the City and their surroundings, where we met and brought them save to our home in Waukesha. We were happy to have them and invited to an outing not to far from us, a beautiful small Lake setting, Moose Lake. The Park is a gathering place of a German Society plus the original and historical entities' of Karl Schurz, the founder of the first Kindergarten in the United States. We spent the whole afternoon in the not so cold water at the shorelines and conversed quite a bit, never run out or short of subjects to discuss. Prior to returning home, we tasted and enjoyed the German Kitchen, imitating a German woman`s tradition, the famous and desired
Kaffeeklatsch. The attachment depicts on of the multiple German/American celebration taken place in memory and or honor of special occasions. After supper, we sat together, tried to solve the problems of the world, made plans for the next few days. We decided to give Milwaukee a good overlook, a lot to offer, it is Wisconsin's biggest City.

Preface: Since my status with the D.O.T WI changed in 1993 from permanent to part time, many things in my daily live changed accordingly. The biggest revamping I experienced to utilizing the extra time gained by this new arrangement, in a productive way. My head starts spinning, about the possibilities of the extra time. Ones is sure, that the extra valuable time will not get wasted. In future Websites you should hear about the presentation in the other States Districts to enhance the usefulness of more present and future employee of the D.O.T WI. Now that I have more time to my own, we planning to encourage Friends and Family to come to visit, and us going on more trips inside the territorial U.S.A. and planning to go on more trips to Europe. There are always were things I wanted to do, but never made the timed to them. Concluding, you will get to know the World a
Visiting the Dells was necessary and we did. To report and detailing this wonderful outing with the visitors is shortened, while the whole procedure has been covered a few times before. My Father came to visit in 1975. I hope you understand, what ever seen, whatever we did was not necessary exactly the same, point-by-point, but I promise you all, hardly any difference. All I could tell, is a write up about the same we did with my Father some years ago which to be found on Website # -33, "Proceeding with Journey". Do not miss it! After a beautiful and memorable day, we came home somewhat exhausted and before long fell into Amours Arms. In the last days, a lot of packing come a gain's and tears were n the order, we all survived and brought the visitors to Chicago`s Airport for Departure back to Germany. On the way down south on I 94 passed one of these Six Mile amusement Parks, which we visited a little while ago the girl really liked it. These amusement Parks are not my favorite games to ply. I thanked God with all my heart, and returned back to Waukesha.
