Austria, 1997
The peak of the Grossglockner Mountain at 3,798 meters and very seldom seen without clouds. The attached image shows the Adlersruhe Huette,3434 meters on the final ridge to the summit of the Grossglockner. The little town of Heiligenblut in Kärnten is the doorway to one of the famous mountains in Europe, the Grossglockner. A little town, which is these days preoccupied with Tourist, offers this splendid site of the mountain. Mostly many times during the year the peak of the mountain hidden in clouds, have to have a little luck to see it. A good idea is to try this in the morning, the view most likely improved. The brothers Klotz, and some carpenters, which were part of an expedition of 62 people who left from Heiligenblut, first reached the Grossglockner summit on July 28, 1880. The expedition included three Brothers Klotz as leaders, as well as a priest, carpenters, botanists, and students.

The time Karin, my sister visited last year, we talked about the possibility in the near future to make a trip to Austria and investigate the talks over the more than appealing landscapes. I feel very much connected to Mother Nature; in as much I never forget the history of our earth. We live in a remnant of Paradise which was created for the enjoyment

The Sisters on the move again.
Karin and Family.
On Website # 42, Sisters are coming, Louise in 1994 and Karin following in 1996, while we are still laboring and sweating to make our daily bread.( Humor only) We endured and made this trip to use the opportunity of meeting these two families so soon again. Both planned to come separated by a week or less, to give all participants the necessary time available for enjoyment. Karin and Family arrived first with a complete plan how to use the short time available to its utmost. Remember, he and his family visited this Area many times before at Frau Eder Sister. The reserved two rooms, in all there are four people, Karin, Husband, Daughter, and sister Annemie.
On our first outing, we catapulted us to mountaintop with elevator, 963 m. high, very close to Hochfilzen. Swimming looked inviting, but the waters so cold that none took the courage and dipped into the waters. The two sisters dipped there feet in the ice-cold waters at the shoreline and ended up with some kind of a woman`s handicap. That's were I will stop on this issues, only can report it was not fatal. In the afternoon created an old-fashioned Kaffe-klatsch the lakeside meandered slowly back to our lodging. The evening filled with talking, some singing, called without any reservation, an evening of German "Gemuetlichkeit. The next day we drove to some nice places lake Kitzbuehel, St.Johann, and give the woman a little time for their always luring of shopping. The last evening, prior to there departure, a nice farewell supper with a little wetted accommodates and wishing all the best for now and the future. The evening betting went fast, but somewhat sad. "His "protection" brought them safe back to Stuttgart, Germany. They arrived at the anticipated hour.
Today, July 4 2008, while I am writing this Website, is one my special and favorite Holyday, "The Forth of July." All of you know the importance of this; however to give a little help; share with me the following fitting words:
It took a few days to establish a system, to change over to a total different daily routine. Many pleasant surprises made it an easy job to accomplish. Frau Eder`s sister cared for a herd of cows, all by herself on the upper grass areas, high on the mountain sides called Alm, by the locals. On day, she invited us to accompany her and did prepare an original Austrian meal, with all the trimmings. Every morning a humongous breakfast served, sufficient for sandwiches at noon. Most evenings we were trying the original Austrian
Louise and Gordian.
Louise and her husband Gordian, arrived about a week later, came with anew motor- home, and parked their motor home in Fieberbrunn at a nice campground. By the time we met them, the weather became bad, it was raining hard and long, on top of all this, my sister did not feel well, so what can one do? The best way, often experienced, do not think about it and move on, maybe you forget it, Works sometimes, but not all the time. While it was raining, we sat in the motor home and conversed a lot. On better hours we congregated

separation between all of us, created some sadness, in the same time an abundance of happiness. Early next morning the report came in that they arrived in one Piece.
downtown Fieberbrunn a copy of a European castle is visible on the attached picture, and moved leisurely thru downtown. It is a very built up, styled following Tyrolean tradition and clean with exceptional ambience. We did spend quite some time at that afternoon shopping, overcome most of the proceeding calamities, which seemed at the time insurmountable. The next day we spent some driving around and found a little Lake at Saalbach, equipped with a Lake Promenade and Ice cream to purchase and enjoyed walking along the beach. On the way back we stopped at Frau Eder, who deleted that we visited her, and invited us to a Coffee and cake that was delicious. It started to darken, my sister wanted to prepare her motor home for an early departure, next morning. The
My oldest and best friend since childhood, Bruno Hellmann informed me recently, that he is accepting our invitation to visit. Any time, at visits to Germany in the past I tied to convince him and his wife Else to visit, without to much luck. We are ready and waiting for more information about their planned arrival. Bruno, some more years' matured (dislike the word older, as you know) lived across us we grow up like brothers, who I never had but desired. He, like many other men drafted during World War II, fought the allied Forces; however spent the rest of the War (Two Years) in England as a prisoner of War, where he learned some English and anticipated to improve when he is here. The thought of their coming is really an enjoyment Try keep you posted in future Websites. Planning to do something different at the next Website # 45, interrupting the orderly progression of time, up to 1997, where we will continue, than. Maybe you might like the rest in our Journey. Some days we walked to close places of Interest, like to St Ulrich at the Pillersee, a most romantic appearing and feeling place very close to our temporary home. A special place of interest, after we found and liked it very much, across the Border into Germany, "Reit im Winkel"We went to so many places, that is nearly impossible to remember them all, and mentioning. Fieberbrunn, not far from Hochfilzen, our lodging, bigger in comparison and for sure much more interesting for the never decreasing hunger, for woman`s shopping; however lodging in a smaller settlement like Hochfilzen, is much more relaxing. I do not say that not all this planned, by no means, no, but somebody who is guiding me all my live must have something to do with it. Thanks again
